Foundation Membership Process
The Foundation of La Jolla High School was founded in 1983 and is a non-profit, tax exempt, public benefit corporation, whose primary purpose is to enhance the overall educational experience of students by raising, managing and disbursing funds to support academic, athletic, building and grounds, and other needs of the school for which funding is not available. We hope you will consider being part of our Foundation!
The Foundation Board consists of Standing Committee Chairs, who serve on the Executive Committee, and Foundation Board Directors who serve the Foundation in many capacities. Foundation Board meetings are held monthly during the school year - typically in the school library at 7am to accommodate working parents and the school's administration. All board members are expected to attend these meetings, as important matters are voted on monthly and can only take place if a quorum is present.* For more information on being part of the Foundation Board:
• Director (board member) responsibilities are described here
• Brief job descriptions for various Foundation roles are described here
*For those interested in volunteering but who may not able to fulfill the requirements of a board member, you are encouraged to contact us to learn more about how you can help.
If you are interested in joining the Board, please contact Keri Riney, Membership Chair, at [email protected] for more information. Or complete the membership form here.
